What The Vault stores

The Vault can store the cards, notes, zone names, completion notes, reminders, optional fixed map locations and attachments that you choose to add. Attachments can include photographs, documents, audio recordings and links.

Shared Vaults

When you choose to share a Vault, Apple CloudKit creates an invitation and a shared database for that Vault. People you invite can see and change the cards, zones and attachments inside that shared Vault according to the access you grant. They do not gain access to My Vault or to another shared Vault.

Apple handles the invitation and participant identity through iCloud. The Vault's developer does not receive a copy of your shared content and cannot browse the shared database. The owner can manage people or stop sharing, and a participant can leave, using the controls provided in the app.

Where your Vault is kept

Your content is stored on your Apple device. If iCloud is available for The Vault, Apple CloudKit stores a copy in your private iCloud database so it can sync between devices signed in to the same Apple Account.

The Vault's developer does not operate a server for this content and cannot browse, retrieve or read your private iCloud Vault.

Photos, camera, microphone and files

The Vault asks for access only when you choose a related action, such as taking a photograph or recording a voice note. A photo or file you select becomes part of the card you chose to create. The app does not scan your photo library, microphone or files in the background.

Sharing from another app into The Vault

When you share something from another app, Apple's share extension passes the item into The Vault using a private area shared only by the app and its extension. Temporary imported files are removed after the import is completed.

Locations

If you add a location to a card, The Vault stores the fixed latitude and longitude you confirm on the map. It does not continuously track your location or collect background location history. You can edit or remove a saved pin.

Reminders

Reminder notifications are scheduled by each Apple device. You control notification permission in the device's Settings. The developer does not receive your reminder text or notification history.

Accounts, analytics and advertising

The Vault has no separate sign-in, no advertising and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites. It uses TelemetryDeck to count a small set of anonymous product events, such as completing setup, creating a card, using Quick Sort, seeing the Full Access screen or completing a purchase. These events help us understand whether the app is useful and where people leave the setup and upgrade journey.

Analytics never includes card titles or notes, zone names, reminder text, filenames, attachment contents, photographs, recordings, locations or shared Vault content. The only app-supplied properties are a coarse card-count range (1–3, 4–10 or 11+) and whether Full Access is unlocked. TelemetryDeck also receives ordinary technical context such as app version, operating-system version and an anonymous installation identifier. This information is used for analytics, is not linked to your identity and is not used for advertising. Apple may separately process information needed to provide iCloud and distribute the app under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

Full Access purchases

Apple processes the Full Access purchase, restoration and Apple Family Sharing eligibility through the App Store. The Vault reads the entitlement needed to unlock features; the developer does not receive your payment-card details.

Deleting your information

You can archive and permanently delete cards from within The Vault. Changes are passed to iCloud and your other devices. You can also manage app data and iCloud through your Apple device settings. Because we cannot access your private iCloud database, we cannot delete that content on your behalf.

This website

This website has no contact form, advertising cookies or visitor analytics. Its hosting providers may process ordinary technical connection information, such as an IP address and security logs, to deliver and protect the site.
